Device Activation

Before using the 3DM-RTK, it needs to be activated and registered with the SensorCloud RTK service.

  1. Ensure that you have the latest version of SensorConnect. See the Software page for more details on how to download.
  2. Connect the 3DM-RTK to SensorConnect. If using a USB cable, the device will be autodetected. If using an RS-232 connection, it will need to be added manually through the "Add Device" button.
  3. From the device screen, click the "Get Activation Code" tile. This will automatically copy the device activation code to the Clipboard.

  4. Go to rtk.sensorcloud.com/signup/ and create an account. Login after account creation.
  5. After logging in, the site will take you to the main dashboard for managing devices. From here, you can add new devices, monitor usage, and change the plan state..

  6. Click "Register Device" and enter the activation code copied from SensorConnect into the window. The serial number can be found in SensorConnect or on the device itself, and must be entered with the format "XXXX.XXXXXX".

  7. The device is now added to your account. However, note that it is added in an inactive state.

  8. Before activating, billing information must be added to the account. Got to the "Billing" page and select "Add Billing Information"

  9. After configuring billing, navigate back to the "Home" page. Finally, click on the "Inactive" state under the "Access State" column to activate your device.

    Note: if using our Premium network, the network region must be specified. To update the region, or other network options, click on "Edit" under the "Settings" column and select the correct option in the "Network" drop-down on the pop-up dialog. The default region is America.

  10. The device is now activated and ready to use.
